Always a fan of The Lion King growing up, but the design of the lions was something I always struggled with whenever I wanted to draw them.

All these years later of practice....I'm proud of how far I've come. This piece has become a personal favorite of mine, seeing how much I've grown.

Roughed this out while listening to the original Disney's The Lion King Soundtrack before seeing the new live action remake. I got extremely excited about this as I went on drawing it out and I knew I'd have to make a full illustration from it!
